This work is an original hand-pulled serigraph on recycled vinyl, features two ceremonial masks from the Ivory Coast created with cubist and graffiti motif. African masks often represent a spirit and it's strongly believed that the spirit of the ancestors possesses the wearer. The Baule are farmers who populate the eastern side of the Ivory Coast. They are part of the Akan people, one of the largest ethnic groups in West Africa, and dwell in both Ghana and the Ivory Coast.
