The original serigraph on paper features a colorful contemporary abstract of three African Mask in a cubist motif using elements of graffiti. They are used in religious and social events to represent the spirits of ancestors or to control the good and evil forces in the community.
Everett Spruill was born in Birmingham, Alabama 1954. Earned a degree in Business Management from Berea College, Kentucky 1976. As a youth Everett spent many afternoons at the Birmingham Museum of Art. The museum and his early exposure to classical music would prove to have a great influence on his artistic development.
